Increasing Chain Life with DuPont™ Chain-Saver
DuPont™ Chain-Saver is a new addition to our DuPont™ product line. A patented, self-cleaning, dry-wax lubricant that can extend chain life up to 5x. Formulated for chains that are prone to high contamination or wet environments. Chain-Saver is a dry-wax lubricant, which means it does not contain oils. Once sprayed onto your chain, it will dry and become a protective wax film. The dry-wax film will not absorb contaminants such as dirt, grit, paper dust, mill powders, lint, and grass.
If contaminants encounter the wax film’s surface, friction will create release agents, allowing the wax to shed the contaminants from the chain. This process, known as self-cleaning, helps keep both the chain and surrounding parts clean. This patented, innovative technology enables chains to last up to 5x longer.
APPLICATIONS:
- Motorcycles: High RPM speed causes oils and lubricants to fling off, leaving the chain unprotected. Because of its dry-wax film, DuPont™ Chain-Saver will not fling off, even in high RPM applications. Allowing motorcycles to be driven on the road, in the dirt, and through puddles without worry.
- ATVs: Most ATVs are driven through dirt, puddles, mud, and rain. Chain-Saver contains a unique formula that ensures excellent resistance against water and chemical contaminants. Having a good quality lubricant that will not wash off is important to the health of your chain.
- Dirt Bikes: These are used in particularly high contamination areas. With Chain-Saver, dirt, mud, grass, and dust will not get clogged, causing unnecessary friction. Unnecessary friction can take life off your chain. However, a wax-based lubricant will not attract or absorb these contaminants.
- Chain-Driven Vehicles: Other chain-driven vehicles such as bicycles, go-karts, and snowmobiles can use Chain-Saver too. It can provide a long-term solution to protect against rust and corrosion that bicycles, go-karts, and snowmobiles are prone to.
